Burton-based Keltruck is continuing its long-standing business partnership with Marston’s by supplying five new Scania G Cab 450BHP Highline Euro 6 tractor units.
Following a chance to take part in a comprehensive test driving event at Scania, Graham Benford, trunking fleet manager for Marston’s, was impressed with the performance of the Scania Retarder.
It held a fully-loaded truck at a constant speed down a steep incline and Graham thought the benefits both in terms of safety and reduced brake wear were the right choice for Marston’s trunking fleet. Keltruck account manager Peter Clark said: “Keltruck is proud to be associated with such a prestigious brand. We have had, and continue to have, a great working relationship with Marston’s over the 18 years that we have been open at our Burton branch, where we repair and maintain their Scania vehicles and their trailer fleet.”
Marston’s is the leading brewer of premium cask and bottled beers, producing more than 60 of the country’s best-loved ales. The Midlands-based operation began in 1834 and has since become a FTSE 250 listed company.
