Keltruck’s Chairman, Chris Kelly, today joined Shadow Minister for Transport, Owen Paterson MP, at the Burnt Tree Island where Dudley MBC meets Sandwell MBC in the heart of the Black Country, to protest at the planned installation of traffic lights which will overturn what is currently a free flowing island, lengthening journey times and creating unnecessary additional traffic and emissions.
The protestors were also objecting to plans for a flyover at the nearby, much less busy fire station island near to junction 1 of the M5 motorway in Sandwell.
The protest was covered in the Birmingham Post, Express & Star & Commercial Motor’s RoadTransport.com
