Keltruck Limited, the largest independent Scania Distributor globally, proudly announces the delivery of two brand-new Scania vehicles to esteemed customer Hill & Smith Barriers, part of Hill & Smith Infrastructure Ltd, marking a milestone in their enduring 25-year partnership.

Established in 1983, Keltruck Limited serves the Midlands and South Wales as the premier independent Scania Distributor. Founded by Chris Kelly, the company boasts 18 operating locations and is currently managed by a seasoned team of executive directors with extensive experience in the road transport industry.

Hill & Smith Barriers was founded in 1824 and has evolved into an international group that was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 1969. The company has a rich history in providing ironworks, ornamental fencing, gates and other products to a range of prestigious customers and projects, including Queen Victoria, the Royal House of Siam and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Today Hill & Smith Barriers provides a wide variety of market-leading temporary and permanent vehicle restraint system (VRS) and hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) solutions worldwide, and are rightly renowned for designing and developing innovative solutions for the highways and infrastructure markets. They have received two new Scania vehicles – a smaller drawbar setup for urban and distribution work and a new tractor unit and trailer. Both are equipped with Fassi Hydraulic loaders for efficient self-loading and unloading and will be used to deliver crash barriers to live road and motorway depots.

The vehicles come with an 84-Month Contract Hire Package, the maximum term, reflecting the strong partnership between Hill & Smith Barriers and Keltruck Scania. Full Repair and Maintenance Contracts, including Service Plus Contracts for the trailers, will be handled at Keltruck Scania Willenhall.

These one-stop shop Repair and Maintenance contracts from Scania ensure that the vehicles remain fully compliant, serviced, and covered. The comprehensive package includes O licence inspections, MOT services, full service schedules, and more, allowing Hill & Smith to spread costs and maximize uptime.

Hill & Smith Barrier’s two new vehicles debut their new livery, showcasing a brand-image refresh and dedication to both style and safety.

Tony Biddlestone, Keltruck Scania Account Manager:

I was delighted to supply these new vehicles to Hill & Smith Barriers in their show-stopping new livery. The Scania brand continues to be relied upon by this international business and Keltruck have maintained a great relationship with Hill & Smith Barriers from a sales and aftersales perspective for a quarter of a century. That’s a lot to be proud of.

Darrell Simner, Transport Manager at Hill & Smith Barriers:

We’ve rebranded our organisation as a whole under Hill & Smith Infrastructure and wanted to get consistency across the business. We have two Scania vehicles in our fleet at Bilston and a mixed fleet of 30 across the business. Keltruck’s sales team have been great and did everything we asked. We use Willenhall depot from service point of view, and cannot fault their efforts.
