We have seen a great start to the year with the highlights being West Bromwich (all areas), Coventry (an incredible start – £16K ahead of budget), Droitwich, Tamworth, Cheltenham, Kingswinford & Kwiksave all started well.
New & used vehicle sales have also had a fantastic start smashing the budget! Our driver contracts are also performing well (£7K ahead of budget year to date). And last, but by no means least, the accounts department (often not recognised) is doing a sterling job. Our debt collection is better than ever & the purchase ledger team are doing the business very efficiently.
Other news – I am pleased to announce that we are opening the doors of the new Rugby venture located on Glebe Farm Industrial Estate, only 5 minutes from junction 1 of the M6. In this strategic position we will be able to develop the clients in the surrounding area. Steve Parker, who joins us together with Stuart Stanley from the City Trucks operation in the same premises, will run this new depot on a day-to-day basis reporting to Les Heritage. It is my intention to run the depot as a fully franchised site & take advantage of the massive parts & service potential in this rapidly expanding area. The depot is only 6 miles from my house so I am sure that Steve will ensure that the site is always very clean & tidy!
