A Tale Two Years in the Making for Tyretracks (Eccleshall) Limited

A super special – and super-sized – delivery marks the end of a two-year journey for the magnificent unveiling of Tyretracks (Eccleshall) Limited‘s outstanding Scania 770S V8 CS23 (XL Cab).

Having contacted Keltruck Scania Account Manager, Danny Horobin, almost two-years-ago with the simple, yet exciting, brief of “We want to order a truck, and we want it to be from you” it became clear that Tyretracks directors Chris & Tommy Hopton were looking for something extra special for their next Scania tractor unit. And in true Keltruck style, we delivered… Having been delivered to the UK in July 2024 but undergoing extensive works to make this unit extra unique this powerful Scania 770S V8 defines the ‘less is more narrative’ with simple detailing and carefully selected extras. The vehicle stands elegantly poised with a sleek greyed out aesthetic whilst still possessing the unrivalled power that is the legendary Scania V8 engine.

In addition to all of this, the vehicle is made even more special with Scania’s new CS23 (XL Cab) mounted on the 4×2 chassis – a specification that took extensive communications between Danny and the Scania factory in Sweden to make possible. An effort well worth making to allow for the creation of this outstanding vehicle.

With so many unique features it’s hard to narrow down a favourite but Tommy speaks for us all when he said “The V8 engine is the best feature” whilst also greatly appreciating the electric cab tilt feature, which is “very easy to use.” Furthermore, the CS23 (XL Cab) has also made an equally extra large impression with Tommy going on to say “It’s been really good – the increase in space is a big positive and the cab feels really spacious inside when sat driving” and highlighting the increased comfort this cab option offers both on and off the road.
