Wheyfeed Limited of Stanton-on-the-Wolds, Nottinghamshire, choose Keltruck to supply 12 new vehicles to add to their 30+ Scania dominated fleet.
The deal was made between Stephen Fletcher, Keltruck New Sales Account Manager, and Stuart Bridge, Managing Director of Wheyfeed.
The vehicles delivered were R485LA6X2MNAH models to replace existing vehicles within the fleet.
The vehicles have been delivered on a regular basis since their order was placed at the end of 2010.
The vehicles that feature Scania’s new two pedal Opticruise gearbox have been supplied with Keltruck’s 3 year full Repair & Maintenance contract and will be maintained at Keltruck’s Nottingham branch on Riverside Industrial Estate.
When asked why he chose the specific model of truck, Stuart commented, “Our vehicles are required to run at maximum weight and we deliver into mills and farms in rural areas which can be very hilly with difficult access. We therefore needed a vehicle, chassis and engine spec that is suitable for this environment.” Also that their “driver feedback is very positive from the experience with these Scania vehicles.”
David Morgan, New & Used Sales Director, Keltruck Ltd commented, “I am pleased that we have been here to accommodate Wheyfeed’s logistical needs again and we will still be here for them when they come to reviewing their fleet again in the later part 2011.”
Established in 1961, Wheyfeed Ltd ordered their first Scania in June 1971 and were so impressed by the brand that they have operated Scanias ever since.
