Thanks to Keltruck Burton-On-Trent. 24 hours after breaking down our low-loader is back at base and will resume normal service on the 4th January 2021.
We have had a few trucks go down recently at Burton and I can’t fault the lads at Keltruck Scania Burton. They took on all our extra work and it was all done quickly and efficiently. Soon as diagnosed I had a call and then an estimate to follow. Ronnie, Danny and Jason are always a pleasure to talk to.
One of our trucks went into limp mode and I wanted to say thank you to all the members of staff at Keltruck Scania Burton who dealt with our truck, from booking to completing the repair to invoicing. The service was commendable and really helped us with keeping the truck on the road with the fast turnaround.
Ronnie Henry, Keltruck Scania Burton’s service advisor, is always very obliging and helpful when we are looking for MOT slots. His communication is prompt and accurate.
I would just like to pass on my thanks & gratitude to your Burton-on-Trent service team for sorting out a breakdown for me on Tuesday evening.
Although a non account customer, with a credit card payment you responded with great efficiency to replace a brake chamber on one of our trailers at the Palletforce Hub in Callister Way. Not only did this get my driver back to Bristol within his hours that evening but also ensured all of our freight made onward connections throughout the country so once again many thanks.
I have since spoken with Ronnie Henry at the dealership who again was a pleasure to deal with and I have received some account forms just in case we get any further breakdowns. At present we have between 6 & 8 trailers in Palletforce every night.
Thank you to the staff at the Burton depot, especially Chris & Alan who put a good deal together to enable me to purchase the vehicle. Also to the mechanics, Matt & Ricky, who are a credit to Keltruck.
We have a very good working relationship with Keltruck on all levels. Our respective Keltruck depot is Burton where the staff are very helpful and understand the pressures on us.
Two new fleet additions, both 2003 Scania RT124LA 6×2/4 NA420s, were prepared by Keltruck Burton and given 12 month MOTs, had roof beacons fitted and were livered in my colours…
Both vehicles were ready three days before due and I collected both on the Saturday morning.
We’ve had 4 or 5 in recent years and for tractor units we usually purchase pre-owned Scanias at about 3 years old from Keltruck and then run them for 3 years which has proved very successful and cost effective with Keltruck Burton providing service and maintenance.
The relationship our two companies have developed over the years is exceptional. We’re even at the point today where we support each other’s events. So when we hold our annual St George’s Day celebration, Keltruck are always there with a display and goodies for the children and we reciprocate at their events.
Another time they really helped us out was when we needed a replacement engine for our historic 1937 Leyland Hippo brewery wagon. Marston’s has a long history stretching all the way back to 1828 and we’re very proud of our heritage. So we wanted to get our old Hippo fixed as soon as possible. Keltruck were great, they did a nationwide search for us and came up with the goods in no time.
In terms of our regular fleet, we’ve got 16 Scania trucks and a 55-strong trailer fleet, all of which are maintained by Keltruck Burton-on-Trent. And on that front, they do an excellent job for us. They are open most of the time that we are – we start work on a Sunday afternoon, Keltruck opens up shortly after that, thereafter we’re both 24-hour operations until the following weekend – so we know help is never far away should it be needed. Technically speaking, there’s never an issue; the job just gets done quickly and efficiently. Nothing is ever too much bother.
Then again, I suspect there might be a little personal interest going on here too. Most of the Keltruck Technicians drink our beer on their day off and I’m always telling them that if the pubs are empty, it’s their fault – I think that helps!
